Samsung has represented Chromebook 2 in leather cover

Earlier this year, Samsung introduced two mobile PCs, called Chromebook 2, Chrome OS-based. One of their outstanding features is leather covering, the same as Galaxy Note 3 and some other company’s products have. Recently, Samsung has enriched its assortment of chromebooks with 11.6-inch Chromebook 2.

The device is characterized by passive cooling system. It is based on Intel Celeron N2840 (Bay Trail) platform with 2-core processor of 2.58 GHz maximum frequency included to its configuration. The Intel-version of Chromebook 2 mobile PC has acquired 2 GB RAM and usual 16 GB onboard flash memory. One more peculiarity is its TN 11.6-inch display of 1366×768-pixel resolution. The mobile PC can operate up to 9 hours on a single charge.

By means of some improvements of the device’s physical construction, it appeared possible to make it more durable. All four corners of its case and USB ports are strengthened with metal inserts. Metal frame is also applied at the backside of the display that makes the device stiffer, but it does not mean that it is protected from moisture and water.

As it often happens, many users are not knowledgeable of chromebooks and Chrome OS. That’s why Samsung and Google created a new application called Google Help. As a matter of fact, Google Help service is the same as Amazon Mayday. Thanks to it, a user, who needs help, can get in touch with Samsung support service via video chat. This service is provided from the user support center of the South Korean company in North Carolina. Unlike the workers at Amazon, Samsung representatives do not work twenty-four hours a day; their help is available only five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Samsung offers many other Chromebook 2 configurations; it considers itself to be the largest manufacturer of mobile computers controlled by Chrome OS today.
