Huawei has announced that the world’s first 8-core smartphone of LTE Cat 6 Huawei Honor 6 standard with 300 Mbit/s data receive rate is about to enter the market.
HiSilicon Kirin 920 8-core processor of Honor 6 consists of four A15 big chipsets of 1.7 GHz and four A7 small ones of 1.3 GHz. They provide the device with steady operating over a long period of time even during the most active usage.
Huawei Honor 6 functions on Android 4.4.2 basis with Emotion UI 2.3 user interface. It is equipped with 3.100 mA·h battery. Its 5-inch sensor Full HD display of 1920х1080 resolution occupies 75.7 percent of the smartphone’s surface. The screen is bordered by thin colorful frames 2.86 mm wide. Being 6.5 mm thick, 139.8 mm long and 68.8 mm wide, the smartphone weighs about 135 g.
Hisilicon Kirin 920 processor’s intelligent architecture uses combination of various cores, depending on the type of the task, to perform its functions. If the processor’s load is low, Cortex-A7 energy-efficient cores become activated; if it is high, Cortex-A15 powerful cores are set into motion. This technology is extremely power-saving; moreover, it increases productivity of the device.
Huawei Honor 6 possesses 3GB RAM and 16 GB ROM; furthermore, it allows enhancing memory capacity due to micro SD. The device supports such communication standards as FDD-LTE, TD-LTE, WCDMA and GSM for making calls and having access to the Internet. Also, it provides Bluetooth 4.0 HS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
Honor’s 13-megapixel camera with internal CMOS module and SONY BSI sensor of the fourth generation lets take photos even in poor light; the smartphone’s front camera gives an opportunity to take panoramic selfies. It also has the so-called audio note function, which makes it possible to record a 10-second audio accompaniment to a photo; focus mode helps to capture focus after having taken a photo.
