Meet an Overclocked GTX 980 AMP! Extreme Edition Video Card from Zotac

Zotac, a well-known designer of visual solutions, has recently appeared with a proprietary version of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 980 adapter. The GeForce GTX AMP! Extreme Edition video card (codename: ZT-90203-10P) boasts industrial overclocking, a uniquely designed PCB, and an exclusive powerful cooling system IceStorm with three fans, five heat-pipes, and emerald-green LED backlight. High heat dissipation performance affected the size of a VGA cooler: it takes three slots within the case!

Zotac GeForce GTX 980 AMP! Extreme Edition is based on GM204 GPU (28 nm technological process) that consists of 2048 stream processors (Maxwell architecture), 64 ROPs, and 128 TMUs. Its standard clock frequency makes up 1291 MHz, whereas dynamic overclocking results in the boost up to 1393 MHz. The GPU is attended by 4 GB of GDDR5 memory, featuring 256-bit interface and running at 7200 MHz frequency.

Power subsystem is organized according to 8+4 phase scheme and boasts the employment of prime-quality PowerBoost tantalum capacitors. The card receives additional power supply via two 8-pin PCI Express Power connectors. I/O rear panel accommodates a single DVI port that supports monitors with 2560x1600 pixels resolution, one HDMI port that supports 4K displays, and three DisplayPorts which support 4K displays as well.

Moreover, this video card might be used for the creation of 3-way SLI graphics configurations to boost visual presentation. It is certified to work with Windows Vista/7/8 OS and shows compatibility with RoHS standards. Finally, the nominal delivery kit involves DVI-to-VGA adapter, two 4-pin-to-8-pin adapters, user’s manual, disk with drivers package, and mini-USB-to-internal USB header cable.
