Cooler Master Adds V Semi-Modular PSUs to Its Inventory

The ‘V’ line of modular PSUs from Cooler Master is now replenished with semi-modular models. Totally modular 700 W, 850 W, 1000 W and 1200 W units go hand in hand to new semi-modular 450 W, 550 W, 650 W, and 750 W items. The latter employ a hybrid cable management system where the basic cables are attached to the case, while optional ones might be connected by users individually. The cables are designed in the shape of flat loop circuits which ensure less airflow resistance within the chassis.

Cooler Master V Semi-Modular units are designed in ATX 2.31 form-factor and accommodate only a single +12V bus that demonstrates up to 99% performance out of the overall PSU efficiency. It is accompanied with +3.3 V and +5 V buses which are able to power all major components of PC system. All four models were honored to receive 80Plus Gold certificate; the latter witnesses about their high efficiency level (up to 92%) and the possibility to operate in a wide input voltage range: from 90 V to 264 V.

Similar to other solutions from Cooler Master, the new line boasts the incorporation of a qualitative hardware base. It involves durable Japanese capacitors and powerful DC-DC converters. Besides, the layout is protected from various emergencies by dedicated circuits; hence, one might find special mechanisms against overvoltage, low voltage, overcurrent, overheating, overloading, and short circuit conditions.

Furthermore, these PSUs house a single 120 mm fan with an estimated lifespan of 100.000 hours. Their other specifications are listed below:

  1. Cooler Master V Semi-Modular 450 W: the ultimate current on +12V bus – 36 A, the peak power on +12V bus – 432 W, the ultimate power on +3.3V/+5V buses – 100 W, connectors – a pair of 6+2-pin.

  2. Cooler Master V Semi-Modular 550 W: the maximal current on +12V bus – 45 A, the peak power on +12V bus – 540 W, the maximal power on +3.3V/+5V buses – 100 W, connectors – a pair of 6+2-pin.

  3. Cooler Master V Semi-Modular 650 W: the peak current on +12V bus – 54 A, the maximal power on +12V bus – 648 W, the ultimate power on +3.3V/+5V buses – 120 W, connectors – a pair of 6+2-pin.

  4. Cooler Master V Semi-Modular 750 W: the ultimate current on +12V bus – 62 A, the ultimate power on +12V bus – 744 W, the peak power on +3.3V/+5V buses – 120 W, connectors – four 6+2-pin.
