Aerocool Teases Xpredator Cube Chassis for Gaming Configurations

Aerocool, a renowned Taiwanese designer of PC hardware, has launched a new chassis series codenamed Xpredator Cube. As seen from the name, the case is designed in ‘Cube’ format, thus presuming horizontal localization of the motherboard. Such allocation dramatically reduces PCB loading in contrast to vertical orientation. The model is targeting micro-ATX and mini-ITX platforms with the maximum of 4 expansion slots.

Aerocool Xpredator Cube features 380x350x280 mm dimensions and comes with only a single bay for 5.25-inch drive. Still it has three bays for 3.5/2.5-inch drives and two additional sites for SSDs. Despite the dimensions, the chassis is ready to accommodate graphics cards of up to 320 mm length (345 mm length without frontal fans) and CPU coolers of up to 162 mm height (187 mm height without top fans). At the same time, there are no limitations as for the PSU dimensions. Besides, the latter comes with a dedicated mounting rack and magnetic dust filters.

To continue, the ‘Cube’ chassis boasts a powerful cooling system. It consists of two pre-installed system fans: a frontal 200 mm one and a rear 140 mm one. The couple might be replenished by optional top fans as well. The frontal fan runs at 7-13.2 voltage range and consumes not more than 2.88 W power. It rotates at 800 RPM speed, producing 53.4 CFM and 26 dB noise.

The rear fan runs at the start voltage of 7 V and consumes up to 1.68 W power. Its rotational speed achieves 1200 RPM; the produced airflow index approximates 59.4 CFM, whereas noise level goes up to 27.6 dB. Both items are estimated for 30.000 hours of foolproof operation. In addition, it’s feasible to install a liquid cooling system. It might consist of two integrated fans and a two-channel controller with handy switches at the frontal panel.

For another thing, Xpredator Cube features two USB 3.0 interfaces and two audio ports for the connection of audio peripherals. The case itself is designed in multiple color variations to satisfy the needs of devoted gamers. The recommended by the developer price tag makes up $125.90.
