Logitech International S.A. is a Swiss-based global vendor of desktop/laptop PC peripherals. The company’s history started in 1981 with the development of mice and gradually evolved to the manufacture of variegated accessories and interface devices, called to facilitate the interaction between users and computing machines (PCs, gaming pads, digital audio and video equipment).

Today Logitech’s inventory boasts the following products:

  • wired and wireless keyboards;
  • wired and wireless mice, trackballs;
  • web-cams;
  • gaming accessories: gamepads, joysticks, handlebars, game controllers, PlayStation Portable devices;
  • audio peripherals: speakers with Surround Sound system, wireless audio systems, headphones, accessories for MP3 players;
  • dock stations for MP3 players, iPods, PSP;
  • accessories for cellular phones and smartphones;
  • universal remote controllers of Logitech Harmony family.
Years-long painstaking work resulted in the emergence of high-end, innovative, and user-friendly devices. For instance, being nearly a pioneer in mice manufacture, the company shipped its billionth mouse in 2008. Some of the peripherals appeared due to the partnership with other companies engaged in IT field. Hence, in 2010 Logitech in cooperation with Google introduced Google TV – an Internet-enabled television.

In addition, the vendor might also boast the presentation in 2013 of iPhone game controller PowerShell, packed with a long-life battery of 1500 mAh. Furthermore, in recent weeks it introduced an innovative Bluetooth keyboard; its key attraction is the possibility to connect up to three devices at a time and switch between them thanks to a dedicated dial.

It should be mentioned that items designed by Logitech might take different names, depending on the country and product orientation. For example, in Japan the company is known as Logicool, whereas its video conferencing peripherals come at LifeSize brand name.
