iPad Mini 3 by Apple

October 16, 2014, famous world-wide American company Apple introduced a new series of its innovations – iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 and iMac. In this article, attention is focused on one of them – iPad Mini 3.

It should be mentioned that iPad Air 2 has acquired improved camera, powerful A8X processor, antiglare screen and Touch ID fingerprint sensor. However, due to some reasons, less attention was devoted to iPad Mini 3. There are almost no improvements comparing to its predecessor, iPad Mini 2.

Mini 3 possesses 7.9-inch display of 1536х2048-pixel resolution. However, Mini 2 has the same display parameters. Here, there is no difference. The same concerns the case thickness that equals to 7.9 mm; iSight 5-megapixel camera and HD FaceTime front one; A7 microcircuit the device is based on; Wi-Fi module; and memory capacity.

Mini 3 has got dactyloscopic Touch ID sensor, Apple Pay service and golden case. There you have it. All the rest is identical to the last year’s Mini 2. Development engineers at Apple have deprived this year’s innovation of laminated antiglare screen, barometer and time-lapse mode. Apple even hasn’t managed to provide iPad Mini 3 with A8 processor, the one that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have.

Regarding this, the price for the “innovation” is 100 USD higher than the one of its predecessor. The device has already entered the market. The devices of 16/64/128 GB internal memory are available. Their costs are $400, $500 and $600 correspondingly.
