Gelid Solutions has updated its line of CPU coolers with Rev. 3 Tranquillo model. It is designed in a traditional tower-like shape to comply with nearly all modern platforms for socket FM1/FM2/FM2+/AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+ (AMD) and socket LGA 775/1150/1155/1156/1366 (Intel). Its framework consists of a copper base, an aluminum heatsink, four copper heat-pipes, and a single 120 mm fan.
In order to ensure the utmost heat dissipation performance, Gelid has implemented a unique heat-pipe constellation that is optimized to comply with the latest motherboards. Dedicated AMD clip enables the installation of a cooler in four directions. The heatsink stipulates the installation of one more fan, if needed.
The pre-installed fan is based on a hydro-dynamic bearing estimated for 50.000 hours of foolproof operation. Its rotational speed might vary from 750 RPM to 1500 RPM depending on thermal conditions. Such variation became possible thanks to PWM technology that adjusts fan speed to the environment. Besides, dedicated PWM curve provides for low-noise rotation. The fan itself is able to produce up to 63.5 CFM at the noise level of 26.5 dB.
In the end, Gelid Rev.3 Tranquillo is delivered with a brand GC-2 thermal compound and a kit of mounting tools. Moreover, award-winning efficiency is backed by RoHS and WEEE certificates and a 5-year’s limited warranty. |
