GIGABYTE Technology Co., Ltd. is the Taiwan company that produces and markets computer motherboards, video cards, graphic accelerators, computer cases, power supply units, personal computers, notebooks, servers, communication devices.
The company was founded in 1986. In 25 years, it has become one of the world leaders in producing motherboards and graphic accelerators together with ECS, MSI, Foxconn and Asus.
GIGABYTE holding consists of such companies as: - GIGABYTE Technology Co., Ltd. It is engaged in developing and manufacturing motherboards, graphic cards and peripheral devices for desktops;
- GIGABYTE International Co., Ltd. specializes in making cases for desktop computers, power supply units, cooling systems and monitors (under ENVISION brand);
- GIGABYTE Communications Inc. creates smart phones (GSmart) and communicators;
- G-Style Co., Ltd. produces notebooks and tablets.
About 70-75 percent of all GIGABYTE motherboards are produced for Intel processors, all the rest – for AMD ones.
According to the statistics, every fourth PC in the world is equipped with GIGABYTE motherboard.
GIGABYTE company is among twenty the most famous Taiwan companies; it is awarded more than 10.000 times by authoritative organizations and independent editions. It is estimated at $133 million.
